November 10th Komyo Reiki Share 大阪光明レイキ

For the first time in a long time, we only had one member come today! It is always a little dissapointing when the numbers are low as the opportunity to build on each other's energy isn't there, but tonight turned out to be a real blessing!

Misa and I went to a 2 day work shop on a meditation technique called Varanium. It made a very strong impression on us. It has been an amazing supplement to my work in Dr. Hew Len and Joe Vitale's book on Ho'oponopono called Zero Limits. As well as Eckhart Tolle's book The Power of Now.

You learn to get into that place of Zero or "No Mind" by focusing on the sensations in your body, the chakras and breathing.

Since we only had one student today, and she happened to be very interested in this technique, we were able to spend over 30 minutes meditating through this method.

It really turned into a powerful Reiki enhancer. When I gave the Open Attunement to Misa and our student, it was completely from a place of love and peace. My hands did things that didn't seem to be coming from me, but from that place of the Divine. Without my prompting everyone was moved by it. After that we did a Reiki Circle and the energy was as vibrant as it can be when there are 20 people.

Low numbers mean longer healing sessions, so we could focus more on the two people receiving Reiki treatments. We will all have a wonderful sleep tonight and I know an amazingly peaceful and fulfilling day tomorrow.

November 3 Reiki Share 大阪光明レイキ

It's getting colder! There is nothing better to get the blood flowing and keep the hands and feet warm than going to a Reiki share. In the winter time I especially find that I need the solace and comfort of our Wednesday Reiki share.

We had a new student get her first attunement in the afternoon and then she joined later in the evening as well. She seemed very eager and excited to try and feel more of the Reiki energy.

We also had a surprise visit from one of our teaching peers that occassionally comes to visit. A lovely couple from Suita. She is a teacher and he is an Okuden student of Hyakuten Sensei's. They teach together and blessed us with a wonderful photo of Usui Sensei that we will always have on display now for the Reiki Shares.

Along with those two guests, we have been having a mother from just up the street and her 2 children (one a 4 year old boy and another his seven year old sister) join us. At first it looked like it was going to be pretty tough with the two kids together. When they come separately, they are so well behaved and quiet, but when they came together the first time it was very loud and not so conducive to the quiet peaceful atmosphere that everyone expects when they come. Last week however, they seemed to easy into the reiki wave and now it seems like they will be able to vibrate on the same frequency as the rest of us. It was really amazing to watch the transformation. Reiki works in mysterious ways :)

Things closed up with a nice long tea break, and we all went home a little warmer in heart and body.

October 23rd Full Moon Attunements

Saturday was an amazing night! We had three students who were all looking forward to having their attunements under the moon. The weather worked out wonderfully. Just a few clouds were in the sky and most of our time giving the attunements was spent in the brillaintly shining light of the full moon.

The energy is absolutely mind blowing. I highly recommend full moon attunements under sky on the grounds of Minoh's Ryuanji. It is a powerful experience that leaves you completely engulfed in reiki and moon energy.

Misa and I both had wonderful Sunday and Mondays as a result of the energy we received from giving the attunements.

I hope everyone is well after my almost one moth hiatus from blogging.

September 22 Reiki Share 大阪光明レイキ

This night was an amazing night. As Misa told us, there were several factors making the energy special this night. It was a full moon. We had a large group, and Jupiter was at it's closest to the Earth that it will ever be-something that only happens every 40 years. So, we all hope to experience it one more time in this world eh? :)

We had a new member who was just certified as a Reiki teacher in Western Style Reiki. He was excited to try his new found skills. It is nice to see Reiki being experienced through someone's eyes for the first time. For me it was just a confirmation of all the things that I had been studying for so long about energy and spirituality. It was feeling and experiencing what was only theories before. I think this new comer had a little bit of that with him this night.

We had a really nice end to the night with some Chinese herbal tea and some special cookies brought to us by one of our members who tries to come once a month, but just can't make it all the time because she lives so far away.

I hope you are all enjoying the cool weather and the coming of fall as we ease into another transitional time of the year.

September 16 Reiki Share 大阪大阪光明レイキ会

We had a very nice little get together. The discussion was lively and thought provoking as we talked about the Japanese lunar calendar and New Moon affirmations.

The difference between Japanese and English is really making an impression on Misa. she has been very keen on this idea that English focuses on the meaning of what is said whereas Japanese tends to focus on the grammar. So she is starting an online course in how to make affirmations or manifestations in English. So far she has over a thousand readers of this on Twitter so I am interested to see where all this goes.

Anything that gets people on the path to clear thinking and peace is good in my book.

We ended the night with our normal tea time and had some very interesting tea given to us by a former student. It was like a green Ulong tea.

I am grateful everyday for the new office and especially on reiki nights.

大阪光明レイキ September 1st Reiki Share

It was the first Reiki share in the new office. What a smashing success. We had two new faces and one that has decided to take the reiki shoden class with us on the full moon of September 23rd.

The new place is so nice and new and spacious and clean. Everyone was so happy and appreciative of our new space. It is truly a step up.

Our favorite 9 year old (actually he just turned 9 two days ago) was there with his mom and he absolutely loved our new classroom as well. Reiki was hitting him hard that night as he had his treatment and then slept for the rest of the Reiki Share!

The new energy and excitement of our new office has me with even more enthusiasm and love for teaching Reiki. I can see a big shift in the energy of our meetings now. It seems to be welcoming more people. I am grateful for all of our new changes and faces, and gratitude is the best way to get reiki energy to flow.

We ended the night with chilled rooibos tea and lots of wonderful little snacks. Thank you to everyone!

August 19th Reiki Share 大阪光明レイキ

After a scorcher of a day, I actually found it kind of nice to be inside and under the protection of the air conditioning. I generally prefer natural air, but the hottest day of the year actually left me feeling a little bit light headed yesterday. So the Wednesday Reiki share was just what the doctor ordered.

Our favorite 10 year old, was with us as he has been a lot recently. He has a lot of energy and keeps us on our toes and he is such a gentle spirit. We also had our reiki teacher from Suita and her husband come as well again so that was a nice addition. It is always good to have extra teachers on hand.

Today we used a Nadi Yoga breathing technique at the suggestion of one of the members of Hyakuten Sensei's Reiki share in Kyoto. She suggested that we try a before and after with the Reiki circle. We did and it sure did seem to make a difference in how the energy flowed. We'll have to keep experimenting with this in the future.

Misa made some great cold tea out of hoji cha and chamomile. It was delicious. Thank you Misa!

The night finished off with some nice conversation and we all went home feeling refreshed and ready to face the next day of heat and humidity here in Osaka.

August 11 Reiki Share 大阪光明レイキ会

People are continuing to rave about having our own private space to practice Reiki on a weekly basis. The peace and quiet that it allows us has been a wonderful blessing

This Wednesday we were lucky to have the presence of a reiki teacher who is one of Hyakuten Sensei's students. She and her husband give us a visit every month or two and it always nice to have their energy and perspective at our Reiki shares as they both have a very well grounded and peaceful energy.

We ended the night with a lively discussion and demonstration of Misa's new Ipad. Not rushing everyone out the door is also an added bonus of our new office and everyone left feeling relaxed and happy after a very nice night of Reiki.

I always feel so lucky and greatful to have this wonderful community of students and teachers for the mid-week break between the work week. Thank you everyone for your support!

August 4th Reiki Share 大阪光明レイキ

Our second night at our new school was very comfortable and nice. We were lucky to have our favorite mother/son combination come to the Reiki Share. The mother has recently gotten her 2nd level and her son is ten years old and despite being what some might call a hyperactive child, when he comes to the Wednesday Reiki Share, he is always very calm and quiet. He told his mom, "I want to go see Jeremy today!" So his mom made the time and they came just as we were starting the open attunements.

Not having to leave exactly at 10 o'clock has been great for building a rapport with our members as we have had more time to relax and take it easy at the end. And of course the peace and quiet of having our own space has done wonders for the environment.

We ended with a nice long tea time of chilled rooibos tea and good conversation. I'm so glad to finally have our own space.

Osaka Komyo Reiki Share July 26th 大阪光明レイキ

The day has finally come! We opened our new office for the first time to the Wednesday night Reiki Share. Our office sits in an apartment that Misa says is in a perfect line with the energy meridians of Minoh Waterfall. It does have a nice view of Minoh Mountain.

We had a nice crew tonight our occasional 10 year old guest came today and was amazingly quiet and subdued. He said that he missed me while I was gone in America. Ahhhh. He is such a sweet kid.

It was very nice to have a peaceful night of meditation and Reiki and not have to worry about the noisy neighbors next door that occasionally interrupted the flow of our Reiki Shares when we were at the local community center. We also could take our time in saying our good byes without the 10 o'clock curfew that was always in place before. Independence sure does have its advantages.

I think everyone came away with an extra strong dose of peace and cheer tonight and I look forward to many more nights like that to come.

June 2nd Reiki Share 大阪光明レイキ

This was a great Reiki Share. We had a few old faces that hadn't been around for a while so it was a good reunion and a good joining of our new faces as well.

We started the night with an extra long meditation of almost 15 minutes and everyone seemed happy about it. One of our members gets too lightheaded when she lies down for the treatment so we always do a "Reiki Train" for here when it is her turn for a healing. In this way almost everyone gets to receive a little bit of Reiki energy. It creates a real magnifying effect when you have 5 or 6 people lined up in a row giving reiki to each other in a train. The middle people experience such a pleasing effect.

The evening was rounded of with a very lively 20 minutes of Soba tea and snacks. We all wanted to stay and chat, but of course we have to close shop by 10 at the local community center so our time is always a little limited, but it leaves everyone excited and ready to meet up next week so that is good.

I hope everyone is in high spirits and good health with the coming of the summer weather.

Osaka Komyo Reiki-Ho'oponopono and Indian Yogis 大阪光明レイキ

After hearing a description of Ho'oponopono from me, Uttam shared about an Indian Yogi with a similar technique. In his book Zero Limits, Joe Vitale talks about the 4 phrases being so simple, but he wanted the short-cut. Uttam's Yogi seemed to have that. Basically you take the thing or issue that you need healed into your heart chakra with a breath. Then, you love it and then breath it out. It is recommended that you practice on yourself before doing it for other people. Also if you breath the problem into other chakras, he said that it can be very harmful.

So far it seems to work about as good as Ho'oponopono's four phrases:

I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you

I need to practice it more, but give it a try and let us know what you think!

Osaka Komyo Reiki Osho's Dynamic Meditation 大阪光明レイキ

I have had so much energy these days since starting the Aryuveda massages. I'm not sure if it is the massages or the Osho Dynamic meditation, but it is truly amazing how much more in the moment and unattached I am to the everyday inconveniences and annoyances of the day.

The Osho Dynamic Meditation is made to help people let out the frustrations and hidden feelings that have been pushed deep down. It seeks to do this through physical movement which gets us closer to our animal nature and out of our head.

It starts with 10 minutes of chaotic breathing then 10 minutes of "maddness." After that, there is a 10 minute jumping stage, then a 15 minute silent stage and finally a 15 minute celebratory dance stage. It opens and releases so much of the pressures that are placed on all of us every day. For a more detailed description of the process and theory see the Osho website at:

Aryuveda Massage 大阪光明レイキ

As I wrote in the last post, there are so many things to learn from Misa's first Reiki teacher, Uttam.

His Aryuveda massage especially struck me so I have scheduled a full 7 massage course. It has been wonderful so far and it is not only a massage, but an education into some very profound yogi philosophies.

He says that he has tried many different kinds of healing from Reiki, to accupressure, to some kinds of Chiropracty, but the Aryuveda massage is the only one that seems to have lasting effects for more than a month or two. He claims that after 7 sessions most chronic conditions are healed and the patient won't have to go back for them.

It is a very interesting techenique. It is a mixed of massages and stretches. My "homework" is to lay on my back and pull my legs to my chest and breath deeply. This is a yoga position of some kind or another. He says he is working on building a better connection between my upper body and lower body, as well as closing the right side of my body and opening the left. Once these main imbalances have been re-balanced the healing process will go quickly.

I'm looking forward to seeing where all this goes.

Misa's First Reiki Teacher in Town 大阪光明レイキ

Misa became a Reiki Teacher first through a Western style from an Indian man. I found out last month that this teacher comes to Osaka 3 months every year from May to July.

He is truly an amazing man. He grew up a Brahman and his family has a 5,000 year recorded history. During this time no one in his family has eaten meat. So he is about as pure of a vegetarian as you can get.

He has brought with him some wonderful and powerful new meditations, healing methods, and Indian spiritual theories.

He has opened a small healing center down the street from Misa's natural stone shop. As well as offering various types of healings and massages, it also offers a full vegetarian menu for lunch and dinner. Everything is organic and delicious, so I have felt so satisfied on a full body level after every meal-so hearty and amazing.

Osaka Komyo Reiki May 26 Reiki Share 大阪光明レイキ

Tonight we were blessed with two new faces, and our monthly visitor who travels two hours one way from Hyogo to be with us. It is so good to be able to be introducing Reiki to people for the first time. One of them had just read about it for the first time on our website and another one had just gotten his first level from Hyakuten Sensei recently.

I think they were both a little surprised by the amount of coversation, but we have a relaxed style of Reiki where people talk about whatever they want (provided it isn't negatively charged conversation), this helps everyone to forget about trying to concentrate and control the Reiki energy and instead, just let it flow naturally on it's own accord.

Tonight's conversation centered mostly around Reiki and spiritual things because of our newcomers who where rather new to Reiki, however it sometimes happen that we start talking about a good recipe or some kind of recent news and never do talk much about Reiki. Either way is alright as long as we are creating a peaceful receptive environment for the smooth flow of Reiki through the practitioners and participants.

Tonight was special because of the new energy and everyone went home feeling energized and happy.

Osaka Komyo Reiki May 19 Reiki Share 大阪光明レイキ

Tonight was a very interesting night. We had our first person come as a result of the flyers that we made. It is fun to see reiki through the eyes of someone new to it. As is often the case she became very sleepy. For some reason that is a very common effect. It is usually a very good sign. It means that the person is very sensitive to Reiki energy and has managed to absorb a lot of it. That is how it was for me the first times I had Reiki. During my Chuden 2nd Level Attunement I was so excited to learn new ways to use Reiki, but the Reiki energy made me so sleepy it took all my energy just to stay awake during the lesson and I couldn't pay attention to the material being presented. I was frustrated and a little dissapointed, but I know now that something needed to happen that night and Reiki energy was accomodating that happening.

We ended the night with a nice long tea time and sent our sleepy newcomer on her way with the assurance that she was going to be extra genki tomorrow.

Osaka Komyo Reiki Share May 6th &12th 大阪光明レイキ

Last week, we had a few lovely new faces. My long time friend who I met here in Minoh and Misa's Western Style Reiki teacher who has come to Japan to teach about Aryuveda and Oshio. It was a wonderful night full of great conversation and the reiki energy of 4 Reiki teachers included.

The spiritual talk was very engaging and I think despite the language barrier, everyone went away with at least a small degree of a better understanding of energy and how it works.

Tonight's Reiki share was very low key. With only a few peope to participate we did a 30 minute meditation as opposed to our usual 10 minutes. This of course helped to make for a much clearer Reiki pipe as we began the healing sessions. I even had a chance to get a Reiki healing, which I almost never do. It is always good to let yourself receive sometimes.

We ended the night with a wonderful cup of tea-as Hyakuten Sensei says, "A cup of tea, a cup of enlightenment." Meaning there is no duality in drinking tea, it is neither bad nor good. It just is, and it encourages us to be in the moment. I hope you all can find your peace in the small things and activities that you have in your life.

A Trip to Ise. . . 大阪光明レイキ

Heeelllloooooo Everybody.

I have to apologize for my long break in posts. I have no excuses except for that the long Golden Week has made me just plain lazy. I did have a great holiday though, so I love you, I'm sorry, PLEASE FORGIVE ME :) thank you.

I spent several days in Ise the weekend after the holiday. Due to it being the weekend after a long holiday the crowds were very small and it made it so easy to enjoy the wonders of Ise Jingu. I have to say that the energy there was one of the most amazing that I have found in Japan. There is such a feeling of profound peace and serenity there. The age and variety of the trees in its forest speak volumes as to the natural wisdom that is to be found at its core. I also washed my feet in the water of the Isuzu River which surounds the Shrine. It was so refreshing and revitalizing.

Even driving the highway on the way to Ise was quiet and relaxing and full of green. I felt so blessed to be in the presence of such tranquility all weekend. No wonder it has been such a great week for me in general.

If you ever get a chance to go, I recommend it as one of the top places in Japan. Of course I am in love with the waters of our own Minoh River and have discovered many power spots of my own here, but Ise is defintely right up there with Minoh if not surpassing it.

Osaka Japan Komyo Reiki April 14th Reiki Share

Tonight was a perfect new moon. The exact time of the new moon tonight was 9:31 pm.

As Misa pointed out, it was the first time that we have been able to practice reiki at the exact time of the new moon. Everyone seemed very excited and we had a late member receive a healing from the group just a few minutes past that time. She has been very busy with work recently so she was really glad to have the chance to do it.

Many people say that the new moon is a time of emptiness that we can fill with our own unmanifested dreams and desires.

We did an extra 5 minutes meditation and all agreed that it was unusually deep and moving.

I was glad to be a part of this evening, as everyone went away feeling like there had been something a little out of the ordinary this evening.

私は、レイキの効果が早く科学的に証明されないかを待ち望んでいる一人です。

私はレイキのアチューメントを受けた人たちが、次に会う時に顔色が輝きを帯びて、雰囲気が明るくなっていることに何度も驚きました。

もちろんレイキの実践者として、いくつものレイキの効果を実感していますが、お花畑のスピリチュアルではなく、リアリティのあるスピリチュアルを目指したいと思っています。

レイキとクリアサイトヒーリングによる東京-仙台間(300km)の遠隔ヒーリングにおいて、ヒーラーの語ったヒーリングの事象と受け手が感じた事が時間的に一致し、それぞれに対応した生体変化が受け手に見られた。生体計測は単一矩形パルス法と光トポグラフィーを用いて行った。ヒーリング中はいずれの場合も副交感神経緊張になったが、ヒーリングで用いられたイメージ的な手法に対して受け手が自覚した場合があり、自律神経の変化などが見られた。脳の血流は遠隔ヒーリングの内容に対応して変化した。

Scientific measurements of receivers in distant healing by Reiki and Clear Sight Healing were carried out over the 300 km distance between Tokyo and Sendai. A single square voltage pulse method and near infrared topography were used for simultaneous measurements. The subjects' Parasympathetic nervous system was excited by both types of distant healing, except for some healing events when subjects felt their heart beat bounding, which meant that the sympathetic nervous was excited. Near infrared topography indicated signiticant change of blood flow in the brain of the receivers when the healer performed certain healing techniques.

March 31st Reiki Share Osaka Komyo Reiki 大阪光明レイキ

Wednesday's Reiki share started off grandly with Misa's explanation of the full moon meditation. It is a wonderful way to get yourself bathed in the energy of the moon. According to one of Misa's sources on meditation. Our meridian energy pipeline is complimented by a minor feminine and masculine energy flow. At the full moon this flow changes directions. As this is happening it is a good opportunity for us to clear any blocks in the main energy pipeline. A full moon meditation where you picture the light of the moon filling your body with each in breath and radiating with each out breath is one good way to do this.

So after this meditation we were all very well energized for the rest of the meeting. Full moon meditations always seem to be a little deeper.

One of our members is a still a little sensitive to the Reiki energy so she choses to receive her healings sitting down. This allows us to have the great opportunity to make a "Reiki train." This means we all sit one in front of the other and give Reiki to each other. It is a wonderful way to give reiki as everyone can receive Reiki healings at the same time. The people in the middle report the most pleasant feelings of well being and warmth.

We finished the meeting with a cup of hot camomile tea brought in by one of our members from Trader Joe's in New York. It was wonderful!

I hope you are all doing well. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom so go out there and have a wonderful Hanami and celebrate the changing of the seasons!

Tonight was a very easy going night. One of our members who is extra sensitive to reiki energy and can't lay down for the treatment, sat in a chair and we did a "Reiki Train." This is a very fun thing as the people who are in the middle of the train receive an especially strong boost of energy because they are both receiving and giving reiki.

Today's Reiki share was in the music room as well which always seems to add an extra piece of light happy energy to the over all mood.

Since numbers were small tonight, we ended early with an extra long tea break-lovely organic Trader Joe's camomile tea. It was a relaxing end to an extra relaxing night.

Ho'oponopono and Reiki

I am still in the period of integrating the Ho'oponopono "I love you" concept into my daily thoughts and mental chatter. It is still going in ebbs and flows. Recently I have been in a bit of an ebb, but when I remembered as I did today during our open attunement session, it is very powerful. Two of the members who received my open attunements today at our Wednesday Reiki share found it to be especially powerful. I just relaxed and said, " I love you," over and over again. I could feel the flow become more clear and vibrant.

When I break out of the ebb as I think I may be doing right now, I feel much closer to Zero than the last time. I am really looking forward to Dr. Len's next visit Japan (whenever it is) so I can take the next step towards solidifying Ho'oponopono as a daily staple in my life.

Greetings everyone!

Last Wednesday I had to miss our weekly Wednesday reiki share. I'm sorry, but I had an important engagement. Misa tells me that my Ho'oponopono post (via her wonderful Japanese translation) has made a little bit of a stir amoung our members. Apparently it was the hot topic of conversation.

I am not surprised. It is making huge waves in my life and my reiki practice. I am wondering how I can integrate the two more completely. This morning I used a combination of reiki symbols and ho'oponopono to clean and strengthen my vision-shelf.

My vision-shelf is the place in my room next to my bed that I look at every night before I go to sleep and every morning when I wake up. It has important things I have received from people, various knick knacks, and a vision board with my goals, dreams, and things I want to focus on.

I started this vision-shelf when I was going through the most difficult time in my life. It helped me get through deep depression and despair. Consequently it is a very inspiring symbol to me of hope and personal empowerment. Also consequently, it has many negative memories in it, so today I used ho'oponopono to clean those memories for the firs time.

As I was using reiki symbols and ho'oponopono cleaning methods to energize this precious part of my room, I could feel the change in it. I kept repeating "I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, and thank you" while drawing the reiki symbols on each item that carried a negative memory. It was the first time I tried using ho'oponopono and reiki symbols in tandem. The effect was staggering. My vision-shelf is now almost fully erased of negative memories. With this cleansing, I can now look at it without the hidden subconcious mixed feelings that I now realize I must have had all this time.

I am looking forward to continuing what appears to be a powerful combination. The soft subtle energy of reiki combining with the simplistic beauty of ho'oponopono. The possiblities are endless and I can't wait to see where it leads me.

そのことについては、これからも続けると思います。

そして、私は最近のこの件に関して次の意見を共有したいと思います。

※「ありがとう。ごめんなさい。許してください。愛しています」たったそれだけの言葉で、誰にでも、いますぐに、ホ・オポノポノの奇跡が起こる!過去の記憶をクリーニングしてゼロの地点に立つことができれば、あらゆる問題は自然に解決されるというハワイに伝わる癒しの秘法

これらは最も多いの私の精神的なつぶやきのフレーズなんです。私が最初にジョー・ビターレの本「ゼロ・リミット」を読んだとき、家に戻ったような感じがしました。私は、すぐに、繰り返し始めました。「I love　you」頭の中で何度も何度も…

過去約10年間、多くの方法、精神的なテクニック、および霊的な哲学に出会って実践しています。それがあることは必然のような気がします。

それらの殆どすべてに関しては、多くの興味とそれに向かう流れがあると、次に、私は気付いた瞬間すぐに取りかかります。

この理由の一つとして、方法の考えと行動が習慣になるまで要求される内容への抵抗（ストレス）が存在するからです。

　　　私はそうするでしょうか?
　　　いつですか?
4.)、あなたがそれをさせることができるまで、繰り返し行います。

それらの質問はいくつかのものの多くの習慣と実行が困難な時がありますが、あなたが己を理解することで上達していきます。

これらの過程の繰り返しが果てしない繰り返しのように見えるか、少なくとも長時間に長引くことであると感じられます。

「Ho'oponopono」（ホ・オポノポノ）の独自性は以下の2ステップです。

1.) 自分の中の問題か感情を認識します。
2.) 「愛しています。（または、I love you)」と言います。

「I love you」を言うことそのものが快いので、それは前述のセドナメソッドと比べるとどんな意識的な努力も必要ありません。

「I love you」を言うこと繰り返すことがが楽しいです。セドナメソッドのステップを繰り返すのは、確かに有効ではあるけれど、時々退屈で困難であることは事実です。2つの方法の違いが比較できました。

セドナメソッドで処理するには私が何月もかかったことが歯がゆいくらい（ホ・オポノポノ）の「I love you」は素晴らしいです。

それは、解放への近道と、簡単リラクゼーションと、心の安らぎへの近道です。簡単で学びやすくて、覚えやすくて、習慣にするのが容易いということです。

私が、現在何かを販売するようかもしれませんが、今、私の精神生活にそのような甚大な効果があるので、単に皆にそれに関して学んで欲しいと思うだけです。

Last year in September I wrote about this new method of healing that I was studying called Ho'oponopono. It seems to be something that isn't going to go away so I want to share a few more observations that I have been having on the subject recently.

These are the phrases that are becoming more and more a part of my mental chatter. When I first read Joe Vitale's book Zero Limits, it felt like coming home. I immediately started repeating "I love you" over and over again in my head.

Over the past 10 years or so, many methods, mental techniques and spiritual philosophies have come and gone in my life. This one feels as if it is here to stay. For most if not all of them, I find myself jumping on the bandwagon with lots of gusto and then, just as quickly, jumping off. Part of the reason for this is the resistance that comes with the disciplined action that is required to make a concept become a habitual way of thinking and acting. Resistance and the worry of it becoming just another fad that fades, make it harder and harder to practice on a daily basis.

With Ho'oponopono, I find that this resistance is non-existent. And the worry is even less pervasive. It is natural to have ebbs and flows while making a habitual way of thinking become concreted into your psyche. Instead of fighting this ebb and flow and beating myself up over it, as I have with all the others, I have accepted and loved it with Ho'oponopono, which is precisely why it keeps coming back. The time that my mind takes a break from doing it is becoming shorter and shorter now to the point where it is no longer a "day on" and "day off" kind of thing but an hour or two on and an hour or two off. I am excited to watch as my awareness of "I love you" continues to grow.

Another reason why I think that it has been so easy to accept is that it is so easy. It is such a short cut to peace and release.

Two years ago, and to this date, the other most influential method in my life has been Hale Dwoskin's Sedona Method. With the Sedona Method, you go through a step by step process:

1.) recognize a problem or negative emotion
2.) welcome and accept it.
3.) ask yourself 3 questions:
could I let it go?
would I?
when?
4.) reapeat this until you are able to let it go.

Those questions take a lot of practice and somtimes you just can't let go of some things, but you get good at accepting yourself where you are.

You can see that these steps can quickly turn into an almost neverending cycle or at the very least be long and drawn out.

Self Identity through Ho'oponopono, is two steps:

1.) Recognize a problem or emmotion
2.) Say, "I love you." (and when necessary the other 3: I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

"I love you" is pleasant all by itself so it takes no conscious effort as the aforementioned Sedona Method. To repeat, "I love you," is enjoyable. To repeat the Sedona Method steps is, though effective, sometimes tedious and drawn out by comparison. "I love you" is usually enough to acheive what took me months to do with the Sedona Method, and the Sedona Method is AMAZING in itself.

It is a short cut to release, a short cut to to relaxation, and a short cut to inner peace. Its simplicity makes it easy to learn, easy to remember, and easy to habituate.

I'm going to sound like I am selling something now, but it is having such a profound effect on my inner life right now that I just want everyone to learn about it.

What a great day for a Reiki share. Spring has sprung. According to Misa the news has reported the beginning of spring weather meaning that we have mostly seen the last of cold winter weather. Back home in Seattle, I would never trust such a statement from the weather forecasters, but in Japan, the weather or the weathermen seem to be more reliable, so here's to believing.

Ho'oponopono seems to be taking more of a front seat even in my reiki practice. I find that the reiki energy flows much more readily when I am practicing this simple form of healing.

By saying "I love you" over and over again in my head, the gentle energy of reiki flows so smoothly.

Tonight in our open attunements, I felt so open and like such a clear reiki channel. It was amazing.

Another night of small numbers made it easy to concentrate on just a few people for a long time and just let the reiki energy flow uninterupted. I think the recepients were very appreciative. The one women said she was only going to stay until 9 and ended up staying for tea past 9:30!

As I continue to practice Ho'oponopono more and more, I expect it will help my reiki practice grow stronger. After all, how can repeating "I love you" over and over do anything but good!

As the weather gets warmer, I'm looking forward to seeing more of you awaken from your long winter slumbers.

Tonight was another night in the music room. It truly does have a vibrant energy to it. Just as Ho'oponopono's Dr. Hew Len says that every room has it's own personality and feelings based on it's clientele, the music room seems to have a very lively and inviting energy. So many young people get to enjoy the shelter of it's accepting walls as they let out all their repressed creativity and feelings in the solitude of the music room.

Our reiki share went well. People were slow to come, but in the end we had a decent turnout. At the beginning we had only one member so we did an extra meditation, and it was very powerful and deep. It was the first silent meditation we have done at one of the reiki shares without music. It definitely made an impression. Silence can be very profound.

We ended the night early as one of our members was feeling under the weather from the stomach bug that has been going around. I have to admit that I am looking forward to spring time when everyone is going to be a little more high energy and healthy.

But of course at the same time, I feel lucky to be able to give a service every week to help people through the cold, dark, winter time, and I am greatful to have our reiki shares at the half way point in the week when I myself need the added oomph that it gives me to finish off the weeke with a bang.

So I hope that everyone stays warm and healthy in these last few weeks of winter.

It was a nice night to have a reiki share after 2 days of unseasonably balmy weather, people were ready to come out. We had our student from Hygo Ken make her month 2 hour trek out to see us, so we are always greatful for that.

Also had another member who has been very busy recently and we hadn't yet seen in the new year so that was good as well.

This was our second time in the music studio room and there is definitely a nice energy to it. As I think I mentioned before, it is very reminicent of what I have read about Ho'oponopono and seeing Dr. Len's idea that every room has a feeling and mood to it based on it's past. This room is very loved and appreciated because of all the teen-agers and young adults who get to come and make as much noise as they want in a society where such places are hard to come by.

We had a nice tea time on the third floor this time. Misa had some delicious cookies with her that she bought from Costco. As one of the members said, they were dangerous because you just can't stop eating them.

Reiki is a good way to keep the cold bugs away and stay healthy during the winter season, so I hope to see you all out here very soon.

It was another quiet night this night. We had one member show up. I guess the cold weather is keeping people away.

It is always nice to have more members show up, but this evening had it's own special blessings. For one thing, I received an atunement from Misa that had my head buzzing 10 minutes later. It was like her hand never left my head. The tingling sensation just kept buzzing. That is always a good sign of a high energy evening.

We got to give our one member plenty of time in Misa's geranium machine and an extra 10 minutes on the healing table. We were also able to turn out key in to the office in the community center 10 minutes before closing which made them very happy.

I am in my normal "reiki glow" today. I went to bed an hour later than usual, but found myself with plenty of energy throughout the day.

I hope that everyone is doing well these days. We hope to see you here in Minoh soon on a Wednesday night.

Tonight was a very quiet night. Maybe it was the cold weather, but we only had one member today. It was the first time since our first few months last year, but we were blessed with the presence of one of our long distance students. She has decided to come once a month from Hyogo Ken-past Sasayama. It is over 2 hours one way so we are very lucky to have someone who is willing to make such a long journey.

With only one student we can take it easy and give extra special healing sessions. Misa's daughter and our one guest got the red carpet treatment!

This was actually one day off from our one year aniversary. One year ago Hyakuten Sensei helped us launch our first reiki share. With the cold weather we have decided to wait until April to do our celebration. We plan to ask Hyakuten Sensei his schedule for April and get him to come and celebrate with us. It may actually be on a Sunday.

It was a little difficult to adjust to the cold after my 9 day stint in Hawaii, but it was great to be back to reiki on Wednesday.

We had a very nice eager group ready to do reiki after the long break. The conversation was a good healthy mix of worldly events, new year's celebrations and spiritual thoughts. The long break wasn't the only thing making people feel eager. With the cold weather and all only one person out of the 9 attendies (myself, Misa, and her daughter included) were sick with some form of cold or ailment.

I myself had contracted a little stomach bug that was just on the mend by the time evening rolled around. Reiki had me feeling right as the rain by the the next day.

I am so grateful to everyone. My trip to Hawaii brought me back refreshed and so grateful for all of the wonderful people I have met through reiki. It is so nice to be doing a job that gives so much joy and fulfillment. With the beginning of the year, it is a time for reflection and new beginnings.

I also would like to say how grateful I am to Misa and her whole family for all the help that they have given me with Reiki and outside of Reiki. I honestly don't know where I'd be without them.

Our goals this year are just to continue to grow our student body and create a fun and peaceful environment to practice reiki. In the process I expect our reiki practice (and thus our ability in the game of life) to grow as much. The student body is a reflection of all those things.

Our weekly reiki meetings will be on holiday until January 13th.

I am headed off to Seattle for Christmas and then I will spend New Years in sunny Hawaii. I will be checking out a resort/spiritual retreat center called Kalani on the Big Island. I have been considering doing a year long volunteer/study of NGOs there, but I need to go and find out what the place is really like and if it would be a good place to learn from.

Misa and family will be taking some much needed rest after the Christmas and New Year's season from the shop as this is the busiest time of year for them.

So we will all no doubt have some wonderful adventures and stories to share with each other when we get back.

December 16th Reiki Share

This was our last reiki share of 2009, and it was a great energy. It happened to fall on the new moon so we all had a wonderfully powerful new moon meditation and also welcomed a new student. She sounds like she will be a nice monthly addition as she can't come every week, but has felt called to reiki for some time. We had a very live and and talkative time. Everyone seemed to be excited for the break and also wanted to get in good quality time together before we all go our separate ways for the next month.

One of our members was particularly run down and actually looked and sounded quite ill with a cold, but by the end of the reiki share she seemed strong, alert, and healthy by the end. The change from tired eyes to bright and shiny eyes was particualarly striking and is one of the many reminders that I continuously get of the benefits and reality of the healing power of reiki.

I continue to practice Ho'oponopono with my reiki and I have found it to really raise my ability to let reiki flow.

December 9th Reiki Share

We had a special guest on Wednesday. One of our favorite students has come to visit and stay for the past few weeks. He has been living in Hakuba, Nagano learning how to do rafting tours. He came to our reiki share, and it is such a great energy. He has made things around Minoh even brighter than usual in our quiet little town. He plans to start his own massage/reiki business in Hakuba, so he has come to get some R&R in balmy Minoh (it's a lot colder in Hakuba now), some nice reiki stones, and a few ideas on how to start out.

So our Reiki share had a little extra oomf to it than usual. Ever since that day, I have been really busy, but don't seem to be getting tired. I think it is because everyone had such a good time so the reiki energy was flowing very powerfully. We had another student who had such a good time that even though she has a long way to go home, wants to try to come once a month.

Whenever I went to other Reiki shares, it was always a sanctuary for me in my busy week-a time to refresh and relax. I am so greatful to be a part of creating such an environment for others now.

December 2 Reiki Share

The full moon is always a wonderful night to have a reiki share on. We started the night with Misa's patented full moon meditation. We had two members who had never done it before so she gave a wonderful description. Everyone held her round selenite stones in their hands and it made for a very deep energetic experience.

It was a nice comfortable reiki share. It reminded me of how far we have come in just one year. I always know that there will be someone coming to the reiki share now. At the begining we never knew if anyone was going to come. After all there were only about 4 or 5 possiblities. Now we have a strong group of over 20 people that could come at any given time. And the numbers are growing.

There was a feeling of old friends that never miss a beat. We had one member who has been very busy for months and hasn't made it. She came last night and it was like she hadn't been gone. One of our new attendees just decided to get her 1st level so we will look forward to watching her grow in her reiki skills.

I actually started the night out with a mild headache and found that by the end of the night it had gone away. It shouldn't be much of a surprise really, but still always something to be greatful for, and after almost 30 years of migraines something that sometimes seems to good to be true. But it is!

Hello!

This week were were blessed with a face who came all the way from Kishiwada. Despite it being her first time she had a very natural touch and was a nice edition to our group.

It was a fairly small group this week, but we had a lot of lively conversation. Michael Jackson was the topic of a lot of the conversation because of his movie that is out.

I was speaking with a friend about the movie and he was particularly struck by one segment of the movie where Michael Jackson is telling the dancers how to dance a certain part, and he talks about doing it from a place of love. The dancer's didn't quite get it. they needed a translation of that language from the director, but to those of us studying energy, that is a very good lesson. We should always being trying to do everything from a place of love. I have been trying to incorporate this more and more into my reiki. It seems to be helping get a stronger flow so I am going to continue to do it.

I hope everyone is well. Just 3 more weeks until the Holidays and my upcoming trip back home to Seattle and then Hawaii for a 9 day volunteer stint at a spiritual retreat center called Kalani on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Hello!

What an amazingly, energized night we had tonight. We had 6 newcomers to our reiki share tonight. One of them brought with them 2 pre-school aged kids who brought with them some very active energy. It got a little noisey at times, but the energy of a child is always new and fresh and revitalizing.

The youngest of the two seemed very interested to participate in the reiki share, but he was more often than not over-ridden by his older brother, and they ended up out in the hallway rousting all manner of harmless mischief. They had a huge collection of polished stones from lapiz to hematite to quartz and turquoise and really just to many too name. It must have weighed two or three killos, and they carted it around with vigor.

All of the newcomers went away with a great feeling of experiencing something new-energized and ready for the next day.

I myself will be feeling the glowing effects well into tomorrow evening I am sure.

I have been integrating the simple mantras of Ho'oponopono into my reiki, and it really seems to be giving things a gentle peaceful boost. I'm looking forward to the challenge of keeping it up on a daily basis and moving it into the routine of my everyday life.

Tonight was a night of "sashiburi." We had two faces that we hadn't seen for quite some time. The highlight for everyone seemed to be the Boji Stone that Misa had ordered from a company in the U.S. The company was founded in 1972 and claims the stone has energy balancing properties unique to any other stone.

They are sold in pairs. One is favorable to male energy and the other to female energy.

Two people were very profoundly affected by the stone during their reiki healing session. One person had a swirling wave sensation in their hand as they held it and the other started to tear up in her left eye.

Very interesting.

Other than that it was a nice quiet meeting with a relaxed atmosphere and an extra long tea break where everyone got to talk and catch up.

I feel very grateful to have such a nice growing group of people around to encourage and heal with.

Hello Everyone,

I am being much more timely with my posting this time. We had a really nice meeting this week. We were blessed with the presence of a mother and her 7 year old son. Her son is adorable, such an innocent, glowing, loving being. He adds so much peace to our meetings even if he is a little bit loud sometimes. It is amazing though how much reiki energy seems to calm him down.

Also we have had a woman coming the last two weeks who is new to reiki. After last nights reiki share her eyes were much brighter than before the meeting started. I love it when reiki has that kind of effect on people. They actually have a glow to them. I'm sure it must have been the same for me when I first started. Even though most people notice a difference, some are just more affected than others.

Having such lively meetins always inspires me the next day so today was of course another wonderful after-glow reiki day. I left last nights reiki share feeling so at peace and loving-right in line with the ideas of Ho'oponopono:

"I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you."

It's been another 2 week break between blog entries everyone. Gomenasai!

Wednesday's reiki share was very interesting. We did it in the music room of Sun Plaza. It was our first time there. The basement was being used for a special program, so all the other rooms were booked. It turned out to be a great discovery, thouh.

It reminded me of a passage from the book about Ho'oponopono "Zero Limits." Dr. Len is telling the author Joe Vitale that they have to ask the room they are going to do the seminar in for permission to use it. He says that the room is tired and that no one appreciates it or shows it any love. The music room was the opposite of this feeling. Everyone felt a very happy, energetic feeling being in there. I think this is because it is so well used and appreciated by the young musicians. It is their only sanctuary to be as loud and free as they want with their instruments.

So next time we can't use the basement, it's definitely going to be in the music room. I want to start remembering to do what Dr. Len does and appreciate the room and say thank you for letting us use it.

Also we had a new member who had experienced kiko, but didn't know about reiki so it was interesting to talk about her experiences.

So all in all, I think that we all came away with a very interesting new experience in energy. The energy of the music room definitely left everyone feeling refreshed and well healed.

The Mysterious Hawaiian Healing-Ho'oponopono

In August I had a friend from England visit me. He and I have always felt very drawn to Hawaii since we met and lived in the same small town of Koniya on Amami Oshima.

His girlfriend asked him to give me a book for her. It was called Zero Limits written by Joe Vitale and Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len.

The funny thing about this book, is that I started to read it a week ago, and the very next day, Misa started talking about the book as well. So I now feel compelled to write a little bit about it. It is really starting to pull me in.

The book is about a very interesting healing tecnique. As the story goes, Dr. Len healed an entire mental hospital full of extremely violent mental patients. He did this without even meeting them. According to accounts he just looked at their files and repeated four phrases over and over again

"I love you."
"I'm sorry."
"Please forgive me."
"Thank you."

The idea is that we must take complete responsibility for everything-including the illness and problems of others. As soon as we become aware of another's problem, it becomes our problem and we can solve it by healing the part of us that helped make it.

It is based on the idea that we have to go the a place of zero where there is no thinking. Dr. Len calls it "the Divine." One way to get there is to say, "I love you." Over and over. Then you can become in zero and access intuitive and creative power of the divine.

I find myself becoming more and more interested. I am hoping to attend a seminar while I am back home in the states at Christmas time. I will be in Hawaii from December 31st and I am doubly hoping that I can find one there. What better place to learn about it first hand than in the place where it originated.

Wow! I must apologize for being so late on my entries lately. I guess I am having trouble returning to my routine after having so many amazing travels and so many wonderful guests come to visit me here in Minoh over the last 2 months.

Despite my lack of writing about it, the last two reiki shares have been wonderful. We have had a new English speaking guest each of the last two times. It makes for a more dynamic and interesting group when we can have such guests and I hope to get them more of you guys in the future.

We have started to have more of a consistent group coming since the end of the summer and it makes for a nice energy. An energy of comradery and familiarity definitely help make the reiki energy flow.

I found myself absolutely exhausted almost every day last week for no apparent reason. Misa was having a similar problem the night of our reiki share last week. But of course, the next day was great as usual and I had my normal reiki high as did Misa. The entire weekend was more of the same tiredness, but today I seem to be recovered and after visiting Hykuten Sensei's reiki share in Kyoto, I expect last weeks doldrums to be fully behind me.

We just found out that we have been having some Japanese readers to this blog. So welcome to you too. We hope to see you on Wednesday sometime.

Tonight we were blessed with the company of a reiki teacher from Kurashiki. He took vaction from his job just to come all the way out here to join in our reiki share. We must be doing right :)

He also brought with him the famous kibi mochi from Okayama. I was thoroughly impressed. It was one of the best tasting little sweet that I have ever tried in Japan.

He brought with him a quiet and soothing strengtht that I think added a great deal to the group.

Lately we have been blessed with new faces and wonderful energy. It is always a surprise and a pleassure to see that the next week will bring.

What an amazing night we had. We had 5 new faces to our reiki share. Three of them were my sempais from Hyakuten Sensei's former reiki shares, and two were new students of ours. One of my sempais is and expert in the ringing of crystal bowls. He brought his bowls this night and it made for such a memorable experience for most who attended. The vibrational energy that comes from the crystal bowls is very powerful. Please, Please, PLEASE come again!

Along with the crystal bowl, Misa brought out the Geranium bath that had been on a cleaning hiatus for several months.

Everyone went away feeling like they had experienced something special this nigh. We look forard to more and more days like this.

August 2nd Reiki Share

Hello Everyone! It is great to be back in Japan. The Wednesday night reiki shares have gone on just fine in my absence, but alas, there has been no one to keep up the English section of the blog. I actually have been back for two weeks, but this is my first blog since being back.

The August 2nd reiki share was another very laid back event. While waiting for more members to come, we explored the map of the Minoh area outside of our rental room in Sun Plaza. All of us were able to locate our houses. It was good clean fun. Then we were able to go back to the room and start.

It was a nice mellow energy and we made good conversation. One of our members had her debut for tarot card reading. She had a booth at a spiritual event in Tenma. There will be another workshop this month at Misa's shop. The date is yet to be anounced.

So there is always something going on around here. I hope to see you all soon some Wednesday night.

What a special night we had tonight! Two lovely children with their 2 lovely mothers joined us this evening. One mother and son duo was a pair who we had met maybe 3 months ago, but had not been able to attend again until now. It was nice to make that reunion again. Both pairs chose to receive reiki together at the same time. It was a very lively and interesting evening. The young pure energy of children, though a little more noisey makes for a wonderful flow of Reiki.

I hope we can have more of that in the future. I think everyone was energized by the childrens energy and it was a great way to start off my trip back to America.

I miss you all and I look forward to being back in two weeks and meeting all of you after almost 3 weeks off.

The Eclipse!

I actually wrote this post last week when i was at the Airport in Korea heading back to America, but it got deleted when my connection was suddenly severed. So let's try again. Here goes. . .

The trip back to Amami was one of reunions for me. I lived there for a year between 2002 and 2003. It is called the Galopogas of Asia because of it's many unique species that are unique only to the Amami Islands. The Amami Black Rabbit, the Lidthe's Jay, the Amami Thrush, and the Austin's Woodpecker are all animal species that can only be found in Amami and some of it's neighboring islands. So it is a somewhat mystical place to watch an eclipse.

I met a very interesting man with a unique name of Jonathan Human on the ferry to Amami. He is a music producer and artist, and he invited me to join him at the party in Kasari where approximately 2,000 of the 6,000 visitors of Amami were staying to watch the eclipse.

I had other ideas though. I wanted to see it by myself. A friend of mine had done some scouting around the north part of the island and found a beach that she thought might go unused during the eclipse. She turned out to be right. I stayed that night on the beach, made a small campfire, cooked some fish, potatoes, and eggplant on the fire, and enjoy the general quiet of having this beautiful beach all to myself. I also managed to see a sea turtle while snorkeling.

In the morning, I woke up, went for a quick swim and had a meditation on the beach. Right before the eclipse was set to start, I cooked up some hard boiled eggs and had them as a small meal with bread and roasted sweet potatoes from the night before. eating simple things cooked by my own hands made for such a nice peaceful feeling.

When the eclipse did happen, I was able to see a partial covering of the sun, but then the clouds rolled in and I missed the corona and the full eclipse. But it was very dark. It was the darkness found just before night, and there was an eerie silence as all the animals, birds and insects stopped making noise all at once. The silence was very moving. It was the kind of silence that makes you feel one with the universe. A lone butterfly floated across the sky.

So even though, I did not get to see the full eclipse, I felt blessed to be able to experience such perfect silence and also to be able to meet with all my friends from before. It will be a memory that will stay in my heart forever.

I hope you all were able to see it from one vantage point or another. If not, there is always 2012, where there will be a smaller one in Japan again.

Jeremy's Vacation

I will be taking a vacation to go see the Solar Eclipse in Amami Oshima next week. I will be back for the next Reiki share on July 29th, but then I will be gone again for 2 weeks as I am going back to America to see a friend's wedding and visit family and friends.

The Wednesday Reiki shares will be held as usual in my absence. Misa will be leading things, as she always does, in Japanese. To this point we do not have a full commitment from anyone who speaks fluent English to be present, but most of our members can get by, so feel free to join us.

I hope everyone has a wonderful summer vacation and I will see you on the 29th or at the end of August on the 20th.

Tonight was a very cozy night with only our sole teacher in training in attendance. We had a quiet circle of with her, Misa, Misa's daughter, and myself.

We had a nice meditation, and then a friend of mine in Seattle needed a long distance healing on her shoulder so we made a Reiki train with me at the front holding her name on a card. I have not yet had a chance to see how her shoulder is doing.

Ending early, we decided to go over to Per Bianco Cafe across from Minoh station. We ordered their lovely pizza and everyone had the espresso con panna which is my personal favorite. What a nice way to end night of reiki-not so many people came tonight, but I don't think any of us were complaining :)

It was the day after the full moon so the energy was very strong this night. We did our usual full moon meditation lead by Misa. Misa's main business is selling powerstones and accessories so we used some palm sized white selenite globe shaped powerstones that she had in the shop. Everyone held one in their hand and imagined the energy of the moon being channeled throught the stone. The energy was great!

We had 9 people this night so this combined with the full moon, made our Reiki circle especially full of energy. We had a lively group with lively conversation during the reiki share time. Our members are now a mix if current students, people from other styles of reiki and students of other Komyo Reiki teachers. It is nice to have such a variety of perspectives. I think it makes our Reiki practice more alive and open.

As a few of the members left early we ended by joining the two tables that we had started with, and everyone went home set to have a wonderful night's sleep-energized for the next day.

Hello all,

I must apologize for my vacation from writing up the Wednesday meeting summaries. It has been a little hectic recently. But reiki always seems to slow me down and for that I am very thankful.

Recently we have had an influx of students and people joining our reiki share from other styles and from other teachers. It is great to get a wider variety of Reiki practitioners. I hope that this trend continues as it gives us a much wider range of people and experiences.

This weeks share was a nice cozy number of 6 including Misa, her daughter, and I. Six is a good number and makes for a really enjoyable reiki exprience for the receiver.

The discovery of Misa of a really relaxing meditation CD made this meeting especially pleasant and peaceful.

It is nice to be able to conduct the reiki shares in the basement of Sun Plaza. The lighting and lack of sound disturbances is amazing and we feel so lucky to have been able reserve it through August.

It was a really dynamic and sensitive group and everyone was feeling the reiki energy especially well this night. I was so pleased to be a part of it. Thank you everyone! I'm looking forward our next meeting.

鞍馬山ツアー

箕面レイキ会で5月31日に鞍馬山へ出かけました。百天先生は翌日からカナダへレイキを教えに行かれる予定なのですが、鞍馬山へ一緒に行ってくださることになりました。

一週間前から天気予報はあやしい状況で、前日には明日の予報は大雨と発表されていました。しかし、驚いたことに「心配するな」のレイキの教えを証明するように、当日はとっても気持ちの良い晴天♪
前日の雨で洗われた新緑の木々はより一層光り輝いて、私たちを迎えてくれることになりました。

百天先生は、鞍馬山の名ガイド！若い者でも息が切れてしまう急な綴れ織りの山道を仙人のような軽いステップで登りながら、仏教の教えやレイキのスポットをユーモアを交えて詳しく説明してくださいました。その時の興味深いお話の一部です。

弁財天の前で百天先生：
「天という文字の付く仏様は、すべてインドから来られた神様です。弁財天はヒンドゥー教の女神であるサラスヴァティー・大黒天は、シヴァ神の化身であるマハーカーラなど…
わしも百天と天の字があるから、インドから来たんじゃろか？？ワッハハ」

大杉権現の所で百天先生：
「この立ち枯れの杉はまるでイルカに見えます。鞍馬寺の護法魔王尊は金星から来たといわれているし、臼井先生もここで悟りを開いたときに光の玉のような物体から雷のようなものを受けたとされている…イルカも地球外からやってきた神聖な生き物のように私は思う。」

大杉権現のある場所で百天先生がこんなことをおっしゃいました。
「ここの木と木の間を通ってごらん。気の違いを感じられるか？」

私は歩いてご覧んなさいといわれた場所で2回もつまづいて、危うくこけそうになりました。私は日ごろの運動不足を反省していました。

その時百天先生は、「ここは、明らかに気が変化している境目のような場所です。オーストラリアの霊能者をここに案内した時には、私が何も言わないのに、何度か見えない壁につま先が当たって向う側へいけない状態で、ついにはその見えない壁をまたぐように向う側に行って、また帰りにもまたいで帰ってきはったんだよ！」

「私もそこでつまづきました！」
と誇らしげに言おうと思ったが、それは歳のせいだよという突っ込みが怖くて声にならない私でした（笑）

今回のツアーは、急な日程にも関わらず多くの方にご参加いただきましてありがとうございました。ご案内くださいました百天先生、お車を手配くださいました古屋後様、とても感謝しております。どうもありがとうございました。

June 10 Reiki Share

Tonight was a one 4 person share with Misa and her daughter, myself and one of our students.

We were able to take our time, and just relax about the time. We had a very nice Heart Chakra meditation that was introduced by Misa. It made for a very relaxing beginning to the night.

Our student had Misa's complimentary Germanium De-tox machine all to herself so she took full advantage with a full 20 minute treatment. She seemed quite happy and relaxed afterward.

I hope everyone else is feeling the same as we usher in summer and the rainy season. Witht the changing of the seasons comes a perfect time for self reflection. Please take this time to express your gratitude for everything in your life, including its tribulations. Everything is a blessing when you look back on it after 2, 5, or 10 years. Gratitude is the most important thing in leading a healthy and happy life. It is also the fastest way to achieve your goals and the financial sucess that you may be seeking.

Hello All!

We have certainly been blessed the last few weeks with a lot of teachers coming to our reiki shares. Last week including Misa and myself we had five. This week we met a new face living inside of Minoh. She just got her Shihan last week, so congratulations!

She comes from a Western style of Usui Shiki. She was quite surprised and amused by how much we talk during the sessions. Apparently she is used to the quiet style. Our Reiki Shares are generally a mix of both.

Tonight was a very relaxed night as we prepare for our exciting trip to Kurama Yama. Hyakuten Sensei has agreed to give us a Reiki tour of Kurama Yama and explain all the important points. So far we have 8 confirmed to come on our trip. If you are reading this and you are interested please contact us for more information. We are meeting at 10:30 May 31 in Demachiyanagi Station.

It was a very light and cheerful mood tonight. There was a lot of joking going on and Misa also informed our newest member about the nuances and differences between western style and eastern style reiki.

I am very happy about what we are building. It is a slow, but fun and fulfilling process.

As always I want to thank Misa and her daughter and my good friend Brian for all of their help. Without you guys we wouldn't have our Wednesday meetings. I am very greatful (Kanshya Shite [iru])

May 20th Reiki Share

Misa and I started off the night wondering if anyone was going to come besides my friend who had the day off from school due to the Swine Flu closures. Would anyone brave the dangerous public air and risk getting the infamous Shin Kata Influenza?

As it turned out we had a very fun night. Two Komyo Reiki teachers and one Gen Dai Reiki teacher ended up coming with a few other people. All in all the Reiki teachers outnumber the students so it was a very high energy night. I had met the Gen Dai Reiki teacher on the Full Moon Festival on Kurama Yama two weeks before.

(I still need to give you all a write up about my amazing night at Kurama Yama, but that will have to wait.)

No one seemed particularly worried about the flu which was a nice relief as I tend to share the same belief that it is all going to be just fine.

The night ended with giving long distance healing to 3 of my friends and one of our member's uncle who has stomach cancer.

I am so greatful to all of you for your support and the slow and steady growth that we are experiencing. I still have my weekly Thursday morning Reiki Glow from the night before, in fact, I think that I maybe experiencing it right now as I type.

Tonight was a very quiet night. We missed the fun energy of the previous week's newest member, a Japanese child who learned English by watching cartoon network. His mother has promised to bring him back next week. So we look forward to it.

Tonight consisted of our one foreign regular, Misa's daughter and mother, and another very promsing student who has recently become very aware of her spiritual side. She reported having a dull pain in her head which seems to immediately stop after receiving her reiki treatment. Both Misa and I agree that it must be some kind of spiritual "growing pain" which will probably be replaced in the subsequent weeks by some heretofore unknown benefits in the future.

At any rate, it was a very laid back evening and everyone was able to receive extra long treatments due to the low numbers.

This weekend we will welcome 4 (possibly 5) new members in the Chuden club :) Tanoshimi ne!!!

Kurama Yama and Minoh attunements. . .

One thing that I failed to point out for people in English was the explanation for the latest pictures.

We had two people travel all the way from Nagano to get their first levels in Komyo reiki. One was Japanese and the other was an Australian. The Australian had gotten his first level through another style so we agreed to teach him his first and second in the same week. He wanted to do his atunements on Kurama Yama so we set a time and as luck would have it, it was one of the coldest rainiest days of March. But it was still amazing to do the atunements where everything all got started.

We did the first one in the basement of the main temple where you can see the 3 main symbols for reiki. Behind the statues was a truly amazing energy. I found it to be the most profound of the day. The next three we did near the big cedar tree at the top of the mountain. It was rainy and cold, but still a very powerful experience for all. The bad weather also made it easier to give the atunements in private.

Because of the bad weather, we decided to postpone the plan for the Australian's second level on Kuramayama that day. Instead we did it on the following Thursday. It turned out to be a wonderful choice. It was a beautiful night before the full moon- a little cold, but totally clear. We did the first 3 attunements under the moonlight on the grounds of Ryuanji Temple just 15 minutes walk from the station up the Minoh Waterfall road. The first attunement left me swooning it was so strong.

We did the final attunement next to a river which also had a special energy of its own.

Misa has done some research and it turns out that two of the demi-gods from Kuramay ama are also found in Minoh's Ryuanji as well as sharing the same tengue (the mythical creature with an extra long nose in Japanese Buddhism.

Ryuanji is one of the oldest temples in Japan. It's own wonderful energy, mixed with its parallels to Kuramayama, and also the wonderful energy spots found along the Minoh river, make me feel very lucky to have it near me.

What an exciting night it was! Doing Reiki on a holiday definitely has it's perks. We had 3 new faces tonight. It was a very dynamic group tonight. Everyone enjoyed each others company very well.

4 of our regular members have decided to get their 2nd level in the middle of May so that is exciting news as well. Future congratulations.

We managed to start the night almost on-time with a 10 minute meditation, followed by a Reiki Circle and short atunements.

At the tea break we did a long distance healing for the uncle of one of our regular members. He has cancer. She is looking forward to getting her second level this month so that she can give him long distance healings by herself and whenever she wants to.

So we are a growing group both in numbers and in friendship.

April 23 Reiki Circle

We got a late start due to everyone's busy work schedule, but it turned into a nice evening. We have finally gotten away from the comfortable, but noisey tatami room next to the music practice hall.

It was nice to have peace and quiet finally during our healing session.

Our students have started to get to know each other so the recent reiki circles have been a perfect mix of quietness and lively conversation. I guess that fits the personality of it's teachers.

I was yet again reminded of the unexplainable and undeniable power of reiki to heal. My legs had been so sore from going hiking over the weekend that I could not walk normally before the reiki circle. As it drew to a close, I started to notice that they felt a little better. By the next morning, the soreness had almost totally cleared up. Also Misa told us that her mother had been suffering from a ringing in her ears that had persisted for over a month. The next day it had totally stopped. So reiki made a strong impression on her as well.

So life is good. Today is the full moon, so if you get a chance, try the full moon meditation outlined on our site. There will be an English translation soon, I promise :)

Tonight was a small, but cozy meeting. We welcomed our long time Mr. Reliable back from being tour guide for 2 weeks with his friends visiting from Australia. Also, Misa's mother blessed us with her friendly and inspiring presence. For a woman of 80, it is truly inspiring to see someone so spry.

We shared some good stories and did a long distance healing for each of the same two people from the week before. My friend reported feeling much more grounded and loving after his treatment. He said that his thoughts all of a sudden moved into more peaceful topics.

It appears that many of our students will be soon moving up to Chuden level so we look forward to welcoming them into the full world of healing others through reiki.

We had a wonderful meeting this night. So many of our new students came and welcomed our traveling student, Jess, who came all the way from Hakuba to get his Shoden and Chuden in Komyo Reiki on Kurama Mountain.

Due to bad weather, we had to postpone his Chuden level for another day so we had another amazing atunement in Minoh's Ryuanji and along the Minoh River. Thank you so much Jess for opening our eyes to the less traditional methods of doing attunements and classes outside in nature. It was a very powerful and eye-opening experience.

We did two long distance healings. One is for a current student who hopes to get Chuden soon and do long distance healings of her own for her Uncle who is battling cancer. And the other was for a friend of mine who asked me to put him on the list. I have not ask our student how her uncle is doing, but my friend said that he experienced a great feeling of relief and support from our healing session.

All in all it was a very nice meeting. We all continue to grow closer and get to know each other more which makes for a friendlier more close knit group. I am enjoying watching how things are evoving.

This was a great meeting! After Misa and I had our Sunday refresher course with Hyakuten Sensei, we had a lot to share with the group. Everyone at the Reiki share this time was one of our Shoden students so we were able to talk about some of the finer points of clarification that Hyakuten Sensei made on Sunday.

It was nice to see a few new faces. It was all students who are just finishing or just finished their 21 day of practice after getting there Shoden. They seemed to have the bright eyed reiki "glow" that so often comes with new students.

It was a very enthusiastic and inquisitive group. We are really enjoying everyone's eagerness to learn and practice what they have learned.

It will be fun to watch our new students as they grow in confidence and skill. From what I see so far, it looks like it will be a sharp learning curve.

This night was a wonderful night. Spring is in the air, and the warmer weather brought with it warm evening of reiki. We were blessed to have a newcomer who had Okuden from Usui Shiki Ryoho which turns out to be the same style that Misa first got her teacher's level in.

It was a perfect mix of English and Japanese this night and our goal of having an equally mixed multi-cultural group is coming closer to being a reality.

We discussed things from Veggiemite to the wonders of being in the now (also the title of a book I am reading by Ekhart Tolle)-Remember reiki works just as well, if not better, when our mind is on other things and we just let it flow freely with no concentration on the actual healing.

We also discussed our Hanami date which is looking unofficially like it will be Sunday April 5th. If you have never been to our reiki share, but are interested in meeting everyone in an informal setting please get in touch and ask us about the Hanami (Cherry Blossom Viewing and Picnic) that we are planning in April.

Things are starting to get into a better routine now, and everyone is starting to get to know each other so it is really coming around.

We are looking forward to meeting outside of reiki and having Hanami in the city of Minoh. It should be good clean fun :)

満月と新月の日には不思議な力があります。

新月には物事を始めるパワーが宿り、満月は成就を感謝する日でもあります。
そのサイクルを利用したのがいつもご紹介している新月のデクラレーションです。

体や心では新月満月にはどのような変化があるのでしょうか？

出産や血圧などの変化や水分量の変化などの臨床データーがあるようです。
インドのアーユルベーダーでは、
新月と満月には気をとりこむパイプラインに変化が起きる特別の日とされています。

普段の私たちには、イダ管とビンガラ管に気がながれています。
中央の太いシュシュムナ管に気が流れ込むことは非常に稀なことなのです。
この管に気が流れると体と心と魂の統一と調和を感じることができるといわれ、

しかし、太陽と月と地球が一直線上に並ぶ新月と満月の時期には修行なしでも、

Marchs 4th Reiki Share

Sorry to be a little late on the post. It has been a busy week.

The first reiki share of March was another very relaxed one. We got a late start due to a lack of attendance. We really need to have at least 7 people in order to run things as we would like so it took until 7:30 this evening, but the low numbers always makes for a cozy feeling of family.

Our newest student from a week and a half ago definitely seemed to have the reiki glow about her eyes that seems to find it's way into many of the new comers. Something about getting the first level seems to brighten some peoples step and put a little extra glimmer in their eyes. It was nice to see.

This meeting people were very talkative and seemed to be happy to be together and have good conversation.

We have had a few more foreigners asking about Wednesday, so perhaps we will see a few foreign faces soon.

February 25th Reiki Kai and Congratulations

This night we welcomed a new Shoden student who got her 1st degree on Sunday. As is usually the case she reported to have a much more positive attitude the following day and was excited to try her new skills at the reiki kai.

It was a very relaxed meeting and we had a late start. We started the evening with an extra long meditation. Misa gave instructions on how to do a New Moon Meditation, and I translated to our one English speaking participant.

Next was the normal routine, of the 5 reiki principles and reiki mawashi. We also did a long distance healing for a friend and his mother who has cancer. After this we started the group healing sessions.

Four people got to try out Misa's Germanium detox machine which works complimentary with reiki when done simultaneously.

All in all it was another wonderful Wednesday night and I woke up the next day with my usual "after-reiki-glow" full of energy despite having only slept 4 hours the night before.

February 18 Reiki Share and Congratulations!

This was a very exciting meeting. Our most faithful member, who has been to every Minoh Reiki Share since we started 5 weeks ago, just got her first level on Sunday. This was her first time with the full abilities of a first level reiki practitioner.

Congratualations!

We are starting to develop a little bit of a routine now. It is quite nice to watch the slow development and growth of our ability to run a smooth reiki share as well as that of our small population of regular attendees.

This meeting, I have to admit that I had a little bit of a headache and was not 100%. Before starting reiki, three years ago, I used have debilitating headaches that made me unable to function without long periods of sleep or over-dosing on ibuprofen. The following day always made me really tired.

At the end of the night this Wednesday, I was actually a little tired and found myself wondering if the next day was going to be the first where I didn't have my normal super high energy day-after-reiki glow. But once again, I was not dissapointed this week. I actually have had 2 days of reiki high since this Wednesday.

I was not the only one who was under the weather. Misa's daughter and another every-week faitful was suffering from a bit of a cold. Reiki was just what the doctor ordered. We all slept wonderfully, and woke up in higher spirits the next day.

Misa continues to make strides with the website and to get us new students via the internet. I have no end of gratitude to her. We have the makings of a very beautiful little reiki movement her in our small town of Minoh.

Misa is a Komyo Reiki Teacher!

On Monday, Misa and I met to do the final class to make her an official Komyo Reiki teacher.

It was a fun class. Her husband and daughter offered themselves out as reiki models so she could practice giving atunements. Her daughter was already a shoden from another style, but now her husband and daughter are Shoden Komyo reiki students.

Our reiki shares will now go a lot smoother as Misa can now do everything that I can do and we are full fledged partners in this.

We are planning to meet with Hyakuten Sensei in March to confirm that everything has been learned exactly right, but for now we have his blessing to continue the meetings and teach Shoden to other prospective students together. Our first joint lesson will be this Sunday!

Congratulations to the whole Sakamoto family! Yayyy!

4th Reiki Share-The Full Moon!

Wow!

Tonight was fantastic! Misa prepared a wonderful full moon meditation program. Apparently the full moon is a great opportunity to align your Chakras and clear out your energy meridian.

At the beginning of every reiki share, we do a 5 minute meditation. This one was ten minutes and I found myself a little bit lost (in a good way) in it. I woke up in time to shut of the timer before it beeped, but I had a wonderful little tingling on my scalp from it.

The energy was great, and we had another foreigner join us tonight which made for two. Our hope of having the meetings be close to a 50/50 mix of Japanese and foreigners is closer now. This time I spoke English and Misa spoke Japanese. I think it worked very well. We will have to continue this style I think.

Tonight we had a lot of Reiki teachers join us. That mixed with the full moon made for a great flow of energy for our newbies.

Including Misa, her daughter, and myself there was a healthy number of 10 participants tonight. During the reiki healing sessions, 4 people got to try Misa's Geranium detox machine. Combine with reiki it makes for a powerful energy boost.

The meeting ended with a nice healthy 30 minute pow wow where everyone seemed to be getting along so well. We turned the key into the Sun Plaza staff at 9:58, just in time before the 10 o' clock cut-off, which if not abided by makes for very nasty looks and unhappy ojisans.

Once again, this week the synchronicities continue to abound in my life and at the reiki kai's. The new westerner who came today ended up being the teacher of English classes that the friend of another participant is thinking of joining. So they had a nice talk. Also as we were going out the door to go home, I got an email to my cell phone from a woman in Kyushu who is interested in finding out more about reiki--
--Just a few of the many wonderful sychronicities that have ocurred. I am looking forward to what the next week will bring. Until next time. . .

Okuden for Misa!

The day before yesterday was Misa's initiation into Komyo Reiki Okuden level. She is now on the path to being a full Komyo Reiki teacher. Since she already has her teacher's level in another style, we are putting her on the fast track. Next Monday will be her teacher's level atunement into Shinpiden. Hyakuten Sensei is going to give us both a refresher course and make sure that it was all learned correctly in March.

It was new for both of us. Despite being a reiki teacher there were many new things that Misa learned in our class. I had never given Okuden, and Shinpiden will be my first on Monday with Misa. Despite this, it all feels very right. I feel like I am doing what I am supposed to be doing in my life. Once Misa has her teacher's level, we will be full fledge partners in this, and she will be able to do everything that I can.

Once again, I want to say thank you to Misa and her family. I can't express in words that gratitude to them, and Misa in particular, who has made this whole venture what it is. The website especially is basically from her graceful cyber-hands. And a google search of "Osaka Reiki" now has us at page 1. Where just 1 week ago we were only on page 4.

Unbelievable.

February 4, 2009 Reiki Share (3rd time)

Once again, we were blessed with a cozy sized reiki share-giving us time to get our bearings and get used to the routine and how to run a smooth meeting. I want to try only speaking in English next time for the begining routine of the Reiki share and Misa will translate into Japanese. This may help things to seem a little smoother. Reiki vocabulary is hard in Japanese!

This time not including people who are part of the Sakamoto family, we had 4 participants. I am looking forward to watching as things develop. We had 3 people who had come before and one newbie. I have heard from her friend who accompanied her that she wants to try again. She seemed very enthusiastic. She had experience with Kikou before so she was very sensitive to feeling reiki energy.

I have found since starting the Reiki share 3 weeks ago that there are uncountable little synchronicities occuring in my life that just didn't occur as often before. This is of course anecdotal and isn't going to pass the scrutiny of scientific study, but this isn't an exact science, it is all about how it makes you feel. As I tell my skeptical friends, "If it's all in my head, that's fine. All I know is that it works."

Next week I am going to bring in a few pictures of some friends who have requested that we do a long distance healing on them, so we will have to see how that goes. They will be sleeping at home in their beds in America when we do the enkaku so that will give added interest.

レイキ交流会（レイキシェア）とは

レイキに関心がある人が集まって、お互いにヒーリングしたりされたりしながらレイキのパワーを感じるためのものです。レイキ交流会とか勉強会とかレイキシェアと呼ばれます。

一部にはちょっと堅苦しい伝統的スタイルの部分はありますが、それ以外は、お話をしたり、お茶をいただいたりして楽しい雰囲気です。

レイキシェアには、レイキを1度も経験のない方もよく来られますが、ヒーリングを始める前に誰にでも一定期間（半日位）レイキエネルギーを受けて流す回路を開くようにティーチャーがreijyuを行いますので、その時だけはヒーラーのように自分や他の人を癒すレイキを使えるようになります。

殆どの方が掌の特別な感覚等を感じられて、レイキを実感できるようになります。自分がレイキヒーラーになる気持がないかたも、リフレッシュや体質改善のため、または、
心の健康や気を受けて運気を改善するためにヨガスクールやスポーツジムに通うような気軽な感覚でお越し下さればと思います。アチューメントの強要などは一切いたしません。

The Four Class Levels in Komyo Reiki Kai

Shoden, First Degree
- enables students to practice Reiki healing on themselves. Students
learn about the history of Reiki, Reiki lineage, The Five Reiki Principles,
standard and traditional hand positions for self-treatment, as well as
a simple Buddhist meditation technique. Traditional Japanese Reiki
methods are taught, and four reiju (attunements) are given

Chuden, Second Degree
- enables students to practice Reiki healing on others. Techniques are
taught to refine and strengthen one's use of Reiki, including the use

taught

Okuden, Third Degree
- advanced study of Reiki energy with an inward focus on the
practitioner's connection with Reiki energy. Reiki energy is improved
and the energy flow is strengthened. The fourth Reiki shirushi (the
Master Symbol) is taught, and two reiju (attunements) are given.

◆ Okuden class is done in one session, but a student is recommended to take a refresher course.
◆ Two Reiju (attunements) will be given.
◆ Class hours: 4 - 5 hours.

靈氣-霊気-レイキ-REIKI

レイキとは、宇宙のエナジーの呼び名の一つで、霊気療法の創始者である
臼井先生が名付けられました。
古来よりそれぞれの国によってそれぞれの名前で呼ばれています。
中国では「気・chi 」、日本では「気・ki ],インドでは「プラーナ」、ハワイでは「マナ」等です。
この宇宙エナジーによって全てのものが生かされているのです。

この霊気（レイキ）と呼ばれる宇宙エナジーの
バランスが崩れると自然治癒力、免疫力が弱くなり精神的にも肉体的にも不安定になり、病気になるのです。
普段は全く気にもしていませんが、私達が健康で幸せに生活を営んで行くには絶対的に必要なものが「宇宙エナジー」、即ち、霊気（レイキ）なのです。

【霊気療法＜レイキ・ヒーリング＞とは】

大自然に遍満している「宇宙のエナジー」を活用して心身の改善を目指す「手当て療法」「手当て健康法」のことです。
人の手には元々より「癒しのちから」（ヒーリング・パワー）が潜在能力の一つとして備わっているのです。

訓練や修行によって得る能力ではありません。
誰でもが容易に会得し、簡単に使えるようになる・・・
とてもシンプルで、効果的なヒーリング法です。
そのシンプルさ（単純さ）で完成しています。何も足すものはありません、足す必要がありません。

【霊気療法の簡単な歴史】

臼井甕男（ウスイ・ミカオ）先生(1865 - 1926)が大正11年（１９２２）京都の
鞍馬山で断食瞑想行の際に体得されたヒーリング・パワーに基づくヒーリング
のシステムが「臼井霊気療法」です。
臼井先生はこの素晴しいヒーリング・パワーを自分のものだけにしないで、
広く世に伝えようとされました。

先生の弟子の一人である林忠次郎先生(1879-1940)（海軍将校）が退役後、
東京で霊気の治療所を開設、治療と霊気療法の普及に努められました。

林先生の下で治療を受け、後に霊気療法の伝授を受けたハワイ在住の日系
二世の高田ハワヨ先生(1900-1980)が晩年に２２名のレイキ・マスターを養成
され、レイキ療法はアメリカを中心に全世界に急速に普及しました。
現在も益々普及中です。

そして、１０数年前に西洋式に合理化されたレイキ療法が日本に逆上陸
（里帰り）して、大変に普及しつつあります。

【　What is Reiki ?　】

靈氣-霊気-レイキ-REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese term.
【霊】 means something mysterious, miraculous, and sacred.
【気】 means the atmosphere or something unseen or the energy of the
universe.

The Japanese words “霊気(Reiki” can be defined as a miraculous and sacred energy of the universe which sustains all life. (Reiki is a name,used by Usui Sensei,for the cosmic energy. The word "REIKI" is a common noun in the Japanese language.)

This comsmic energy has been called a variety of names by people in many different countries throughout history dating all the way back to ancient times. It is called "Chi" in China, "Ki" in Japan, in India "Prana," in Hawaii "Mana," etc. It is the essential energy for all beings to live healthy and happy lives.

【What is Reiki Ryoho (Reiki healing art)?】

Reiki Ryoho is a Japanese hands-on healing art to improve the mind and body by channeling the inexhaustible and unlimited energy of the universe.
Reiki Ryoho is easy to learn and very simple to use. Anyone can be initiated into Reiki Ryoho by means of a ritual called "Reiju" or "attunement," thus becoming a Reiki practitioner and acquiring the ability to heal him/herself and others.

【Reiki Ryoho (Reiki healing art) and the founder.】

Usui Mikao Sensei (1865-1926), the founder of Reiki Ryoho (healing art), attained spiritual enlightenment, and at the same time, a healing ability as a godsend was bestowed upon him in 1922 at the age of 57 while he was fasting and meditating on Mt, Kurama in Kyoto, the ancient capital city of Japan. Reiki healing art is to channel the energy of the universe and an inspired healing art of Usui Sensei. It was not the outcome of his researches, discovery, or "re-discovery."

Usui Sensei thought that this wonderful gift of being able to heal should be shared with people, not just kept to himself and/or his family. Thus, he opened up “Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai” at Aoyama,Tokyo in 1922.

【In the Western countries, it's been incorrectly said that Reiki healing method or formula was rediscovered by Usui Sensei after researching Buddhist scriptures. It has also been said that he was a Christian minister and president of the Christian based Doshisha University in Kyoto. This is a complete falasy. He was from beginning to end a lay Buddhist】

◆ 【Reiki has gone OVERSEAS.】

Chujiro Hayashi (林　忠次郎) Sensei (1879-1940), a captain of the then Imperial Navy of Japan, was initiated into Shinpiden(Shihan or Teacher level of Reiki) in 1925 after having retired from the Navy. He subsequently opened his Reiki clinic in Tokyo.

Mrs Hawayo Takata (1900-1980), a Japanese American born in Hawaii, was diagnosed with a serious gall bladder condition. She made a trip to Japan and was treated with Reiki by Hayashi Sensei. She recovered completely in four months. And then she worked for Hayashi Sensei as a Reiki student for about one year before returning to Hawaii.

Hayashi Sensei visited Mrs Takata in Hawaii in 1938 and initiated her into Shinpiden (Shihan or Teacher). Mrs Takata set up her Reiki clinic in Hawaii.
In her later life, she made 22 Reiki Teachers (so-called Reiki Masters in the West).
Thanks to their devotion, Reiki Ryoho (Reiki hands-on healing art) has become widespread in the West.

【Reiki has returned HOME.】

In 1984 Reiki Ryoho came back to Japan, the birthplace of Reiki Ryoho. And now in Japan, many Western Reiki Ryoho modalities are being taught and spread. They are gaining popularity here in Japan while the traditional Reiki such as 【Usui Reiki Ryoho】, practiced in the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, has successively been in existence.

2nd Reiki Share

This was a much quieter event than our blockbuster opening night. It made for a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. We had only 5 participants this time which made things easier on yours truly since I didn't have Hyakuten Sensei to fall back on when I made a mistake.

There was no requests for long distance healing, so we will have to wait until next time to continue our anecdotal study of this mysterious aspect of reiki.

I want to thank Atsuko and Brian for their continuing support in this and of course Misa Sakamoto and her family who as I said before have made this easier than I could imagine.

One of our participants wants to get her first level as soon as possible so she can use it on a relative who is having some medical problems and also on her cat in the morning :) So I will have my first official student on Sunday February 15. I am very excited about this. Misa will get her 3 and 4th level in Komyo Reiki from before this. She will help me with any language problems I have with the Japanese aspect of it. The student studied psychology in university and feels fairly confident to take the lessons in English, but it is nice to have the Japanese support. Thank you very much Misa!

Sometime in March we will go to meet Hayakuten Sensei and have him re-confirm Misa's teacher level in Komyo Reiki.

The amount of synchronicities that I have been experiencing these last two weeks is mind boggling. Every day I wake up wondering what will happen next.

So I look forward to what awaits for our third meeting on Wednesday.

Wednesday January 21st was the opening day of the Minoh (Osaka) Komyo Reiki Kai. The energy was amazing. I was on a "reiki high" for two days after. Even the car accident that I had that same day before the reiki circle ended up being a blessing in disguise. We had 6 people who had never experienced reiki before and their enthusiasm and satisfaction with their experience made this evening all the more sweet. We also had 3 other people for whom this was their first reiki circle.
1月21日水曜日に、大阪（箕面）光明レイキ会第一回がありました。エネルギーは驚くべきものでした。私は2日後までレイキでハイな状態でした。レイキ会の前に起きた車のアクシデントまでもが結局は幸運になりました。
まったくの初心者6名と（他にレイキサークルが初めての人3人）の方々はみんな熱心にされて、レイキの心地よさを経験されました。

We had a long distance healing that we did for 6 people. This was another thing for which I am very greatful. I must admit even being a reiki teacher that I am sometimes a little skeptical as to the long distance healing's validity, but this evenings occurences bring me closer to erasing all doubt. One of the people on the list apologized the next day for falling asleep when we were suposed to be giving the healing. They said they got hot and sleepy all of a sudden so they missed seeing what would happen for the healing. This happened at exactly the same time as we were giving the healing! This is the classic reaction that people have when they are strongly affected by a reiki treatment. Another person reported an amazing relief of a very serious lower back pain that had been afflicting her for 3 days. Another person reported feeling sleepy and warm while realizing that this was the reiki. Two other people reported tingly sensations in their hand. And the other person claimed to feel warm. Very interesting. I will let you all make your own conclusions as to the efficacy of long distance healing. I am slowly becoming a believer. I think it will be interesting to keep this in the program and see what happens.

私たちは距離の離れた6人のためにヒーリングを行いました。
私はレイキティーチャーでありながら、遠隔レイキヒーリングによる効果を少し懐疑的にとらえていたことを認めなければいけません。しかし、この晩の出来事は私にとってすべての疑問を消すことができました。遠隔のリストの中の一人はヒーリングの施行時に理由が分からないが寝てしまったと謝りました。眠気を催すことはレイキのヒーリング効果がある時の良く知られた反応なのです。他の人は数日前に起こった辛いぎっくり腰の改善を報告しました。また別の人は暖かさと眠さを感じました。ピリビリや温もりを主張する人も他にいました。非常に興味深いことです。私は長距離ヒーリングに効力があったと結論づけることにしましょう。私は徐々に確信しています。私はこの計画を続けたら、どんな幸運があるか興味があります。

Atsuko San, Mizuho San, and Koyago San especially were very helpful in making this day a wonderful success. Of course we won't forget our honored guest Hyakuten Sensei, without whom we never could have started this. Misa Sakamoto and her whole family have made this so easy. I could not imagine better partners for the reiki circle.

あつこさん、瑞穂さん、古家後さんは、この日を素晴らしい成功にする際に非常に役立ってくださいました。もちろん、私たちは名誉ある百天先生を忘れないでしょう。(私たちは先生なしでこれを決して始めることができませんでした)。また、阪本さんと彼女の家族全員はこれをとても容易くしてくれました。

2009年の1月21日の大阪光明レイキイベントには22人の方がお集まりくださいました。

１．レイキは、普遍的な宇宙エネルギーです。

　　宇宙には、様々な波長のエナジーが存在していますが、レイキは『すべてを調和に導くエネルギー』です。

New Beginnings!

On friday I met with Misa Sakamoto to propose my idea of starting a weekly reiki meeting in Minoh, Osaka. Kansai is in need of a reiki meeting on Thursdays so we agreed that this would be the best day. We went to the Minoh Sun Plaza room rental office and looked at a room in the basement that should do nicely as a room for reiki. It has dimmable lights and tables and chairs so that we can do sitting elevated reiki group healing sessions like the Komyo Reiki meetings in Kyoto.

I will be getting my teacher's fourth level in Komyo reiki in December from Hyakuten Inamoto Sensei in December so we tentatively agreed to start it on January 15th or 22, 2009. We hope to have a very good balance of both foreigners and Japanese at this meeting. It would make for a very unique and multi-cultural Reiki Kai. The possibilities are exciting!
